THE IDEA for The Social Learning Centre came to a young Early Childhood
Education student in 1991. Over the next 12-years, the idea was perfected
until the program doors opened in February, 2003.

Tricia C.M. KassotisTRICIA C.M. KASSOTIS, Director of the Social Learning Centre, brings a wealth of homegrown Early Childhood Education talent.

Tricia graduated Carleton University with a Bachelor's degree in English and Psychology. She obtained her ECE and Resource Teacher's Certification from Algonquin College, and was one of the first students to graduate from St. Lawrence College's School Age Child Care Certification program.

Tricia has worked in both the Ottawa Carleton and Catholic School Boards' run school age programs. Her career includes experience as an on-floor teacher and program supervisor.

In addition to directing The Social Learning Centre, Tricia is currently under contract with Algonquin College in the Early Childhood Education Department - as a faculty advisor and classroom teacher.
